To bring a more focused approach to its charitable giving in the places where we live and work, Vail Resorts Echo has two defined areas of focus – youth and environment - for all contributions. We hope that by focusing on these two areas we can build a bright future for our local kids and protect the iconic landscapes that surround our resorts. We also focus all contributions - both cash and in-kind donations - to the areas where we operate resorts. What does this mean? It means that we partner with non-profits that work to improve the local environment or provide youth programs in:
How We Give
Local leaders representing each division of the Company are part of Giving Councils in each of our communities - Eagle County, Summit County, North and South Lake Tahoe and Jackson Hole. Together, we work to identify key local organizations that are implementing successful programs which change the lives of our kids and protect the resources that make our resort towns unique.
The Giving Councils award cash grants and in-kind donations once a year through a grant application process. Non-profits who run programs within our focus areas and are based in our local communities (Eagle County, Summit County, North and South Lake Tahoe and Jackson Hole) may apply. An organization applying is considered to receive funds and/or in-kind donations once each year.
Important Dates: The application process is currently closed. We are not taking applications at this time.
For Jackson area grants, we will start to take applications on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. The deadline for Jackson, WY grant applications is Friday, June 22, 2012.
We will annouce the 2012 grant process for Colorado and Lake Tahoe in June.
